One attractive aspect of designing public art is the lasting relationships and connections in various communities, not just my own Most challenging during evolutionary and developmental stages is the exchange of visions for work which ultimately belongs to that community, not merely decorative with in.
"She" traveled from a college campus to Main Street in Beacon NY in 2016. it is a reflection of a shared landscape:
It has been claimed that 10,000 birds die each year from smashing into windows. This work expresses our disconnect from the animal world, depicting a child, perched with gripped toes, steadied by a toy yo-yo. Sigunick used local clay from New Paltz which required similarly sensitive handling as might an injured bird.
